Free Field Trips
Our field trip programs are free to all Clarke County School District schools and qualifying organizations and homeschool communities that serve youth who would otherwise not be able to attend a field trip.
Making History Engaging & Memorable
Our programs are highly interactive and rooted in living history interpretation. This means we incorporate historically accurate reproduction items, tools, clothing, and other supplies to teach history through the material culture of its time. This hands-on approach offers a fun and memorable way to connect young people with local history and what they are studying.
A High-Quality Resource for Educators
Our field trip programs are designed with teachers in mind. Each program meets specific Georgia Standards of Excellence that educators are required to cover, and we also provide a 30 page Teacher Resource Guide with activities, vocabulary words, additional information, and credible resources to prepare students for their field trip and learn even more afterwards.

Welcome to our field trip wish list! These are historically accurate reproduction items and genuine antiques that we would love to use in our field trip programs. If you would like to donate an item that is not listed, please contact Libba Beaucham at libba@historicathens.com.
